Welo was created to help close this gap.

Who we are
Welo is a certification designed to introduce a higher level of transparency in the relationship between businesses and consumers.
The project was launched in 2024 with the goal of establishing an independent standard that allows online businesses to be evaluated more clearly and objectively.
Our approach is based on verifiable and objective criteria, we analyze publicly available information, transparency elements, operational signals, and supporting documentation to determine whether an activity meets defined reliability requirements.
Only entities that satisfy these criteria are eligible to access the Welo Badge program, our work does not consist of providing simple opinions or reviews.
Instead, we aim to provide a structured reference system that makes online trust more readable and measurable.
An independent organization
Welo operates as an independent project.
We have no external investors or venture capital backing, the project is fully self-funded and supported by businesses that voluntarily participate in the certification program.
This independence allows us to maintain full control over our evaluation methodology and apply our standards consistently, without commercial pressure or external interests.
We believe that any system built around trust must first be credible and transparent.
Our Approach
The Welo system is built around three fundamental principles.
Transparency: The information used in the verification process must be accessible, verifiable, and clearly understandable.
Consistency: Certified entities are expected to maintain behavior and communication that remain consistent with the required standards over time.
Accountability: Certified businesses demonstrate that they are identifiable, reachable, and responsible in their relationship with customers.
